  1. I bought my Mr Beer …
I bought my Mr Beer kit at a flea market for $2.50!!! It had never been used, and the west coast pale ale kit was still inside. I took the kit home and brewed the beer. I used powdered sugar for the carbonation process when I bottled. I let my beer set for 2 weeks instead of 7 days. All I can say is WOW!! The beer had a very good taste and it carbonated very well. I think I’ll try a Porter or Stout kit next.

  2. This kit is great …
This kit is great for getting people into the hobby. This was my first kit over 6 years ago and the results weren’t too bad. Now I’m an all grain award-winning brewer and I owe it all to MrBeer for getting me started.

  5. Mr. Beer’s website …
Mr. Beer’s website sells refill brew packs that include 1 can of beer mix and 1 can of unhopped malt extract. Of course, ordering from their website also means paying shipping. That’s where they get ya!

  8. This kit really …
This kit really isn’t all that bad as an introduction to homebrewing. Even if you use the ingredients they give you, the beer turns out better than many macrobrews. But if you want REALLY good beer:

    1) Replace the booster with a can of unhopped extract.
    2) Throw out the dry yeast and use a good liquid yeast.
    3) Use corn sugar instead of cane sugar when you bottle.
